Gel liners ROCK!

Being a faithful MAC Fluidline Gel liner user for years I was hesitant to try anything new. But after seeing the great reviews for this Gel Liner made by "Essence Cosmetics" at Ulta I decided to take a risk.

At $3.49 each (MAC Fluidline $15 each) it was really a no- brainer. How bad could it be right?
Boy was I impressed. The Essence Gel liner is creamy and highly pigmented. I bought them in 2 colors "Midnight In Paris 01" (Matte Black) & "London Baby 02" (dark taupe with light purple shimmer).

They will last all day with little to no creasing or smudging. While I find the Midnight in Paris color is a great dupe for MAC's Fluidline in Blacktrack I am in LOVE with "London Baby"! It's the perfect alternative for those days when black liner is a little much. At this time only those 2 colors are available plus the newest one in Miami's Ink 5 (shimmering silver) which I have yet to purchase.

Overall a great product to take a chance with.

beauty bargain bi*ches!

Don’t' take it personal I call everyone I love bi*ches...LOL

Any who my most recent beauty bargain is from Wal-Mart. I have used neutrogena facial cleansing towelettes in the past and I absolutely love them, but they can get a little pricey if you used them everyday sometimes 2 times a day. So I was at Wal-Mart getting some dog food this weekend and took a stroll past the beauty aisle and saw these Equate Original Clean Facial Cleansing Towelettes at $5.97 for a 2 pack I said what the hey I'll give em a whirl.

Now most days I do full on makeup and that includes MAC Fluidline gel liner, UB 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil and MAC Opulash Optimum Black Mascara. Now that stuff takes some serious eye makeup remover, and I have a reeeeally bad habit of sleeping with my makeup on. I know what you're gonna say but I'm working on it ladies. hehe

That being said, I was not expecting a facial cleansing towelette to remove most my eye makeup...boy was I wrong. It only takes ONE yes ONE towelette to remove 94% of all my make up. Yes you heard it right ALL my make up, that includes all the eye stuff. I must spread the word, now washing my face at bedtime is a breeze. I highly recommend you go grab some of these and at $5.97 for (2) 60 packs its insane not to.

My latest obsession!

For years I've been crazy about MAC eyeshadows, it's just something about all those color combos that just intrigued me...oh the possibilities!
Still I have a lot to learn and add to my collection.

Last year I was itching to add something new and exiting to my collection. I've always shied away from brighter lipsticks unsure of how to wear them and just playing it safe with soft pinks, nudes and sheer lipglosses. I decided to take a risk and asked one of the lovely ladies at my local MAC counter what bright lipstick she would recommend...she handed me "Girl About Town" and THAT was when I feel in love with MAC lipsticks! This shade (bright blue fuchsia) opened up all whole new world of color to me and got me wondering where have I been for the last 15 years? I mean those lipsticks are what made MAC famous and I missed it...well at least until now.

Ever since then I have been OBSESSED with bright and pretty lips. Instantly adding that pop of color I thought only a great made up eye could give. What single makeup product has changed your makeup look or regimen lately?

Here is list of my favorite bright lippies (at least for now):
  • MAC "Girl About Town" (bright blue fuchsia)
  • MAC "Impassioned" (amped-up fuchsia)
  • MAC "Watch Me Simmer" (bright pink orange)
  • MAC "Viva Glam Nicki"  (bright yellow pink)
Pictures and swatches to follow ;)
